I have a DELL 1550 that I would like to use as my ipcop host, but the ipcop installer does not detect the disks controlled by Dell's PERC 3/DCL RAID controller card. How do I go about adding the necessary drivers during the software install? |

Hmmm ... I'm running my IPCop 1.4.21 on a Dell PERC 3/DC - I'm pretty sure that the 3/DCL is identical but just lacks the battery backup module. I'd heard rumours that support for these 'legacy' megaraid cards was being stripped from the kernel, but it still seems to be there. Did you get the array up and running before installing IPCop? The PERC 3 Windows NT 4.0 miniport device driver is provided on the PERC 3 driver diskette. The latest drivers can easily be obtained from the DellOpenManager Server Assistant CD or the Dell Once u have installed a PERC 3 adapter driver with Windows NT 4.0, you must apply Support Pack 6a http://www.tsarfi... |

As everyone said, it's not supported. you could probably find a firmware online. Regards, Caldrin Pret voiture |
