| LeechFTP v1.3 Build 207 | ||
| LeechFTP by Jan Debis is a free FTP client with loads of features. Its attractive interface features five distinct sections: local file listing, remote listing, download queue, logging information, and an excellent toolbar. Among the program's more-outstanding features are support for resumed downloads and multithreading for simultaneous file transfers. Drag and drop a few files onto your local folder, and they all start downloading at once, with separate progress meters for each. The download queue lets you visit different FTP sites while your files are being transferred, and a provided viewer lets you explore the contents of Zip and Rar archives. Other features include an FTP search, HTTP download, audio support, remote/local directory comparison, automatic directory refresh, standard file-management support, and much more. Attractive, easy to use, and well documented, LeechFTP just might be the finest free FTP client available. The last release, version 1.3 build 207, was made public in April 1999. | ||

| UDPcast v2010.01.31 | ||
| UDPcast is a file transfer tool that can send data simultaneously to many destinations on a LAN. This can for instance be used to install entire classrooms of PC's at once. The advantage of UDPcast over using other methods (nfs, ftp, whatever) is that UDPcast uses Ethernet's multicast abilities: it won't take longer to install 15 machines than it would to install just 2. UDPcast is released under the GPL 2.0 license. |
